
Carl J. Strang, Jr., Chairman of the Board has held a succession of jobs: Naval Aviator, textbook salesman, orange juice salesman, and bank president. But for more than thirty years he has called himself a capitalist, founding companies that now employ several thousand people. He has been active in a wide array of civic endeavors for more than fifty years, including a stint as mayor of Winter Haven. He wields a diploma from the high school of his native Eufaula, Alabama. He holds a B.S. degree from the U.S. Naval Academy, and he completed the School of Banking of the South at LSU. He’s a Life Member of the Soaring Society of America.
Carl J. Strang, III, President and Director received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Florida and a law degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Mr. Strang has been a member of the Florida Bar since 1983. Mr. Strang is a long time resident of Winter Haven and is active in civic affairs in Winter Haven and Polk County. Mr. Strang is a Past President of the Winter Haven Chamber of Commerce, a Past President of MainStreet Winter Haven, Inc. and currently serves on the Winter Haven Hospital Foundation Board of Directors. He is President of The 6/10 Corporation and has been actively involved in the start-up, growth and development of a variety of business ventures including real estate, agriculture, software and business services.
Harry W. Hazelwood, Chief Financial Officer has been a resident of Winter Haven since 1985 after relocating from Racine, Wisconsin. “Hap”, as he is commonly known, earned his BA from Carthage College, Magna Cum Laude with a double major in accounting and marketing, and received his MBA from the University of Wisconsin with a major in management. Hap has held the position of Chief Financial Officer for the 6/10 Corporation since 2006 and has been extremely active in the community. Hap has held numerous officer and board member positions in local organizations including the Winter Haven Chamber of Commerce, Abiding Savior Lutheran Church, Habitat for Humanity, East Polk Committee of 100, is a member of the Leadership Alumni Class VII and received the Distinguished Alumni Award in 2010. Hap and his wife Chris have seven children and eleven grandchildren, and are active members of the American Cancer Society and cancer awareness programs.
